Skills, equipment, and crafts
Build power through skills, proficiency, itemization, imbuements, offline training, and Alchemy.
What you discovered
Items express vocation identity: casters use light lines, Guardian owns heavy armor, and Shapeshifter occupies the adaptive medium line.
What to do now
- Compare tier, level, vocation, and bonuses before buying.
- Train the primary skill for your role.
- To choose Proficiency perks, equip the exact weapon, enter a Protection Zone, and unlock that specific track level; its bonuses are active only while that weapon is equipped.
- Use imbuements compatible with the item.
- Use offline training without trying to train Magecraft or Runemaking.
Why it matters
A coherent build reinforces your chosen role; simply stacking high numbers can waste budget on stats without synergy.
Common mistake
Buying an item for armor alone or trying to configure Proficiency for a weapon other than the one currently equipped.
